I’m financing my first Framework by selling the one surface everyone sees: the lid.
Cafés, coworking spaces, events… get your brand in the outside world.
Everyone already knows the mark on this lid. Put yours next to it.
The spots
Three sticker sizes. Starting prices are $10 · Small, $25 · Medium, $50 for a large banner. The four spots either side of the logo go for more because everyone looks there.

How it works
Pick your spot and size
Ten zones on the lid in three sticker sizes. Price follows size and how much of the cover you get.
Win the bid
Top bid when the clock runs out takes the spot. Your card is held, not charged, until then, I get in touch about the logo file.
Your sticker rides along
Printed by Sticker Mule as die-cut vinyl, bordered or cut clear to the artwork, and applied to the top cover. Cafés, coworking desks, conference tables, it goes wherever the machine goes.
The laptop
This is the cart I have sitting at frame.work. The spots have to add up to $3,264.25, tax included, before I can check out. Anything over that goes on expansion cards and spare parts.

Questions
Is this real?
Yes. The laptop is ordered as soon as the spots are paid for. The stickers are die-cut vinyl, cut from whatever file you send me. I work out of cafés and coworking spaces most weeks, so it gets carried around.
Why a Framework?
I want to keep the same laptop for ten years. Framework sells every part on its own, down to the mainboard, so a dead port or a tired battery is a part order and a screwdriver instead of a new machine. I run Linux, so nothing pulls me toward a Mac.
What do I actually get?
A die-cut sticker of your logo on the lid, and a line on this page with a link to your site. Printed by Sticker Mule in your choice of bordered or clear stock. That is it. I cannot promise you clicks or impressions.
What's it running?
How does payment work?
Bidding puts a 20% hold on your card, minimum $10. Lose the auction and it drops off automatically. Win it and the hold counts toward the total; I send a link for the rest before anything gets printed.
What if someone outbids me?
You will see it in the bid history and can go again. New bids have to clear the current one by $10.
Can any brand join?
I read every bid before it goes up. No gambling, no crypto, no adult sites, nothing I would be embarrassed to have on a table at a meetup. Say no and your hold is released.
What if you swap parts later?
The stickers sit on the lid. Swapping the mainboard, the battery or the ports underneath changes nothing. If I ever replace the lid itself I reprint every sticker at my own cost.
Why not just buy it?
I am still on a 2019 MacBook Pro, and it is showing it. Because I cannot buy the replacement yet: new hardware has got genuinely expensive, a specced-out machine is north of three thousand dollars before tax, which is a serious amount of money to put down when you work for yourself and revenue is going up but not that fast. If nobody bids I will keep saving and buy it later, without anyone on it.

Hey, I’m Jordan
I build software on my own and put most of it out in public. I’m still working off a 2019 MacBook Pro, and it’s old enough that taking it anywhere is a gamble, so I’d rather buy something I can open up and repair than replace it again in three years. Renting out the lid seemed like a fair way to pay for it. Here’s the current setup.
